The TSA does not utilize the GS pay scale. Rather, the TSA uses a pay grade system known as the SV grading system where pay levels are indicated by letters ranging from A to M. TSA agents’ salaries vary from $15,958-145,400 annually. Air Marshals begin their careers at either the G,H, or I level, earning between $36,764-84,739 annually.
